Lemonade & a Fall Day

One night last week, Dallas had a round of storms that are quite normal for the times of year when the weather starts to change over from one season to another. One day we had a high of about 90, then the next they were calling for a high in the 60s. Trust me when I say there were a lot of Texans who are more than happy to be pulling out a sweater or jacket from the depths of their closets. What a nice treat!

It's just another one of those instances where we realize that sometimes we have to have storms in order to have a cooler morning. Sometimes we have to have deal with something difficult in order to see the beauty of the outcome.

If babies didn't cry sometimes, we might not know they needed to be fed.
If toddlers didn't learn the word "no," they wouldn't learn to set boundaries as they prlem solve.
If we didn't all make mistakes sometimes, we wouldn't learn to laugh, learn, and move on.

Remember that it's okay to make lemons into lemonade.

The weather people are saying we should expect another round of the same thing this week. So hunker down, sleep tight, and get ready to wake up to some fresh fall air :)
